Earth Day event 22nd April 2019

Join us at Neville Hall, Waltham St. Lawrenceon 22nd April for our International Earth Day event, and learn how to protect endangered species by making a few simple changes to your buying choices.

We will be holding the first community Terracycle collection in Waltham St Lawrence in the form of a Children’s Eco Competition.

This will give your little’uns something productive to do during the Easter school holidays.
On days out with a picnic, or visiting friends and family, the children can collect the packaging listed here, and bring it along to the event.
Every child who enters the competition will receive a pencil made from recycled newspapers, and the child with the most recycling will win eco gifts for the family, including a Stainless Steel Gravity Water Filter RRP £135, generously donated by Doulton Water Filters

Dressing up is optional, but we’d be delighted to see children dressed as any of the endangered species on the list (or wombles!) taking part in creating a giant poster, which will be displayed locally.

As well as learning how you can make more environmentally friendly purchases, and recycle those seemingly non-recyclable plastics, you’ll be able to browse and purchase a range of eco products and locally produced crafts.

Our team of sellers are listed below, with links directly to their own websites so you can get an idea of the amazing range of products that will be on sale on Easter Monday, 22nd April.

Doors open at 12pm and close at 4pm.

There is a £1 entry fee, and the first 200 entrants will receive a tasty and nutritious vegan snack bar donated by our sponsor, and local business, The Primal Pantry

The event will be catered by Sandra who will be selling a selection of bacon, sausage and egg sandwiches including vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free options.
These can be washed down with a mug of freshly brewed tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a range of herbal teas. Decaffeinated options, organic milk, lacto-free milk and almond milk will be available.

Within the hall we provide male, female and disabled toilet facilities, and free parking for about 25 vehicles.
The CAMRA award winning Bell Inn is opposite, should you wish to partake in a meal or tasty tipple.

This is a high quality, diverse, eco craft event. Carefully curated, we ensure that each seller has no close duplicates. The focus is on environmentally friendly products, and locally made products.
